David M. Gilmore graduated cum laude from the University of California, Davis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1979. He attended law school at the University of Pacific's McGeorge School of Law, graduating with great distinction in 1982. While at McGeorge, Mr. Gilmore served on the Pacific Law Review, and was an associate editor in his final year. Mr. Gilmore received several scholarships and academic awards while at McGeorge. He was admitted to the California State Bar in December, 1982. Mr. Gilmore joined the firm in September, 1982, and became a partner in January, 1987. He served as the president of the firm from 1992-1996 and is currently serving as the president of the firm.

Mr. Gilmore is admitted to practice before all courts of the State of California. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts in the Eastern and Northern Districts of California and the District of Arizona, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Court of Federal Claims, and the United States Tax Court. He has tried numerous jury and court trials in both federal and state courts during his career. Mr. Gilmore practices as trial and appellate attorney specializing in disputes related to real property, including condemnation, construction, quiet title, landlord-tenant and related issues, and commercial/business disputes, including corporate and partnership disputes, contract issues, warranty claims, product liability claims and similar disputes.

Significant litigation matters in which Mr. Gilmore has participated include the Blosser v. City of Fresno case (inverse condemnation); City of Fresno v. Peabody Floway and others (construction litigation-wastewater treatment plant); Producer's Cotton Oil Co. v. Amstar Corp. (contract dispute); Mosesian v. Pennwalt Corp. (real property damage case); Melikian v. Marzicola (Riverside County real property dispute), City of Clovis v. Long John Silver, et. al. (eminent domain).

Mr. Gilmore is involved in many community organizations including the Rotary Club of Fresno, the Sequoia Council of the Boy Scouts of America (board member), KVPT Channel 18 (member business advisory committee), and the San Joaquin Ag Lenders Association. He is a member of the Fresno County Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers (member of board of local chapter). He has served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Fresno County Consolidated Courts since 1996.
